Confirm the person’s experience, relevant qualifications and insurance directly. Agree on a written scope and price before work starts.
What to include in your job brief
- Name the affected fixture and when the problem started. Explain whether it happens continuously or only when a tap or appliance is used.
- Photograph the fixture, visible pipes and any damage from a safe position. Include a model label if it is easy to reach.
- Say how many fixtures are affected and whether access is inside, outside or under a cabinet. Note your preferred timing.

The kitchen tap drips after it is turned off. It is a mixer tap with access through the cupboard below. I can provide photos of the tap and visible connections.
